Eden Fantasys Review - *Adult Content

Tuesday, April 27, 2010

Back in February I did a review for Eden Fantasys and it was a big hit. So when they asked if I would be interested in doing another review I jumped at the opportunity. Eden Fantasys offers a huge variety of sex toys and lingerie so it was hard to pick an item to review but I knew I wanted it to be something both of us would enjoy equally.

I started my search in the Sex Toys for Couples categories which includes: candles, love rings, massage kits, love games and much more. We finally decided to get adventurous and go with the Muvee, a great love ring that is pleasurable for both male and female. It was a little strange for a first time user but it was fun. The Muvee isn't something we will use frequently but it's a fun little toy to have around to spice up life in the bedroom. The vibrations were just right, I was concerned it would be too much but i just right. I was also concerned it would be loud but it was fairly quite with a slight hum. It was easy to use and clean but most importantly it didn't look as intimidating as some of the other love rings available.
The Muvee is made from velvety silicone and is Non-porous, Phthalates free, Hypo-allergenic, Food-grade material and Latex free. The max stretched diameter is 2 1/2" and it is powered by 2 watch batteries.

Auto Mom Week

This week we're going to be talking cars. Honestly, I don't know too much about cars but I know enough to not sound too stupid when talking to the mechanic.

When I was growing up my dad always took care of the "car stuff". I always thought when I got married my husband would take care of the cars, however my husband knows very little about cars (granted it's still more than I know.) So here we are talking about car care on The B Keeps Us Honest this week. Hopefully I will learn a thing or two.

I've recruited a few friends and companies to help teach us a thing or two about how we can care for our cars. In addition to some great information and tutorials I also have a few giveaways for car care products.

But first I want to find out about you and your car experiences.
Do you have any good car stories?
Car lessons learned from life experiences?
How did you learn to care for you car?
Car Care Tips or tricks?
Can you change a tire?
etc...

* At the end of the week I may share a few of the best stories with the other readers. Feel free to leave your name, blog and site URL and if I use your story I will link to your blog.

Sentimental Silver Review

Mother's Day is just around the corner and if you still wonder what to get your mom I'll make it super simple for you.... Sentimental Silver. I received the round pendant necklace with Jude's name and his birth date engraved on it and it has quickly become a staple in my wardrobe. I love that as our family grows I can add more pendants to my chain so each child has a pendant but can be worn on one piece of jewelry.

Nothing makes a mom prouder than showing off her children. There are many different styles of options available so you can personalize and create a piece that will last for many years.

Check out some of the beautiful styles you can choose from.

About Sentimental Silver

Blogger of the Week: Danielle's Meandering Thoughts

Saturday, April 24, 2010

Today's featured blogger is Danielle from Danielle’s Meandering Thoughts and DollarD.

How old is your blog or long have you been blogging? My blog is only a year old, but I was writing on myspace, livejournal and even deadjournal before that!

What made you choose the name of your blog? Well I did not have any one topic at the time I wanted to zone in on, and my friends always joke that I talk in tangents or meander so that allowed me to banter about all kinds of thoughts.

Why do you blog and what do you love about blogging? I started blogging to keep in touch with friends and family far away but now I love finding new blogs to read and meet new people and hear their stories and laugh when they laugh and cry when they cry. Its like the best romantic comedy movies in blog form and I always hunt for more!

What are a few of your favorite posts on your blog?
I knew you’d ask this and this is so tough cause I am all over the place with my topics.

Are you married? If so, how long? Not yet but I am dating and living with the person who I intend to marry someday so its just a matter of time.

Do you have children? If so, how many? No, but I love reading kiddie blogs cause someday I plan on having them and I learn SO much!

What is your favorite movie? Hahaha,, my faves embarrass others. Centerstage, Drumline and White Chicks. I like talent and laughter!?

Who is your favorite actor? I’m really into Maggie Gylennhall (spelling?), pretty much the most versatile and likeable actress in a long time. I would see any movie she does, and that is saying a lot!

What is your favorite band or musician? My fave band is Rascal Flatts. Doing grad school in PA really opened my ears to country music and this band really knows how to make my heart swell, bleed or cry in the best ways.

What is your favorite food? Unequivocally pizza. I could eat it in just about any form, any dough, any sauce any cheese and I’m there!

What is your favorite candy? Hershey kisses with almonds. I could eat them by the bagful and then still want more!

What else should readers know about you? That I’m still learning and love suggestions and comments, and that I am still on the hunt for my ‘blogging family’ and am actively looking for it always. That I’m beyond stoked about going to BlogHer 2010 in NYC,, and that if I go a few days without a post its most likely due to reading everyone else’s and forgetting to write!☺ (although I’m working on that!)

The B Keeps Us Honest will feature a new Blogger of The Week each Saturday. If you would like to be featured please contact me

Dapple Baby Safe Cleaner Review

Friday, April 23, 2010

Every week a group of my mom friends get together for a play date. We alternate locations so as not to strain one mom and to let the kids explore new places and toys. Sometimes the group can get as large as 15 moms plus baby which can get pretty crazy.

It's a lot of fun but with that many kids there are most certainly plenty of germs floating around. That why I love Dapple Toy Cleaner Wipes, I can pop them in the diaper bag and if a toy is compromised I can simply wipe if off. I love that they are safe and easy to use.
The Dapple Toy Cleaner Wipes are:
  • Convenient travel size
  • Natural-based ingredients
  • Phtalate-free, paraben-free, SLES- & dye-free
  • Fragranced with pure lavender essential oil
  • Biodegradable
  • Not tested on animals
  • Certified to contain no detectable levels of dioxane
Dapple makes a great selection of natural baby products including the Toy Cleaner Spray which you can keep at home to ensure your baby's toys are super clean.

About Dapple
Dapple is a pioneer in natural cleaners, specifically designed for households with babies. Their baby safe cleaners are low foam, green, and affordable! Dapple products are baby-safe and baby-specific -using ingredients found in nature that are also proven to tackle unique baby cleaning challenges, from dried milk on bottles to sticky fingerprints on toys.

Mommy-Files Book Review

Before I became a mother I thought I knew everything. I was wrong. Becoming a mom made me doubt myself more than ever before in my life. All of the things I thought I knew about babies and myself just seemed to leave my brain. However, after talking to other mothers I learned that this was very common and I did in fact know a thing or two.

I loved reading The Mommy-Files because it reassured me that I was in fact a good mom and that trusting my instincts was sometimes the best thing for me and my baby. I learned a few new things but mostly was reminded to simply enjoy being a mom. I would totally recommend this book for any new mom.

About The Mommy-Files
The Mommy-Files reveals secrets that author, Jen Klein learned along the way about mastering the art of motherhood, from how to handle strangers who ask how much weight you've gained to (finally!) getting them on the big yellow bus--on time and with clean underwear. Inside SheKnows.com Presents: The Mommy Files you'll find:
  • Your mom didn't know what she was doing either
  • A pediatrician is your partner, not your adversary
  • Playgroups are for moms more than they are for kids
  • Just because they can talk doesn't mean they can reason
  • Being a supermom is all about asking for help
Disclosed here in a friendly, wry look at motherhood, Jen Klein takes you through each lovable (and less than enjoyable) step toward that coveted title that will be screamed at you so many times in the years to come: "Mommy!"

About the Author
Jen Klein is a mother of three kids, the youngest of whom just started kindergarten. After earning a thoroughly useful degree in art history and studio art, she tried a career in banking. Klein has been a contributor to SheKnows.com for the past two years and writes a weekly parenting column called "Monday Mom Challenge" in addition to regular articles.

May Birthday Bash

Saturday, April 17, 2010

May is a great and busy month in our home. Not only do we celebrate mother's day but both Joe and I celebrate our birthdays. We are 2 years and 1 week apart, he's older! Well this year I'm turning the big three zero so I thought I'd have a little fun with a mega birthday bash celebration.
The image above is of me and Joe from our Save the Date cards.

I'm in the midst of lining up some great products for both him and myself to review and giveaway. The Birthday Bash will occur over the duration of the month of May.  So far I've got some really great stuff lined up and I'm working on getting more.

Extra Entries
Of course I'm going to offer you the opportunity to gain extra entries. Here are two ways to gain extra entries before the start of the Birthday Bash on May 1st.

  1. RSVP to the event. Leave a comment telling me what gifts you or your spouse would like to receive for your birthday this year. (2 extra entries)
  2. Add the Birthday Bash Button to your blog. Leave a comment with the URL address of where I can find the link. (5 extra entries)
<a href="http://thebkeepsushonest.blogspot.com/search/label/birthday%20bash" target="_blank"><img alt="The B Keeps Us Honest-Product Review" src="http://i808.photobucket.com/albums/zz6/jrhammlett/birthdaybutton-1.jpg" /></a>

Blogger of the Week: Kerri's Klutter

Today's featured blogger is Kerri from Kerri’s Klutter

How old is your blog or long have you been blogging?
I started up a few times then I had my children and I stopped.  Now, I’ve been blogging pretty regularly since November 2009.

What made you choose the name of your blog?
Clutter is a disorderly or confusing state.  While I am very organized with most things sometimes my thoughts and feelings get very messy.

Why do you blog and what do you love about blogging?
I started blogging for NaBloPoMo and it took off from there.  I love getting my thoughts out, I love sharing those thoughts with anyone who stumbles across them.  I love relating, connecting and finding new people and new blogs.  I love that my writing has improved since I started blogging.  I’ve always considered myself some sort of writer..it’s been fun being able to experiment with all different styles of writing.

What are a few of your favorite posts on your blog?
http://krazi8.blogspot.com/2009/11/whyd.html
http://krazi8.blogspot.com/2010/01/achieving-intended-result.html
http://krazi8.blogspot.com/2010/01/yoyo-or-no.html
http://krazi8.blogspot.com/2010/02/pain-reminds-us-were-alive-love-reminds_24.html

Are you married?  If so, how long?
Yes I am married.  My husband and I will be celebrating our 7th wedding anniversary on March 8th.

Do you have children?  If so, how many?
We have two little boys.  Jacek will be 4 on March 12th and Aidan will be 2 on August 12th

What is your favorite movie?
I’m a big fan of 80’s movies so it’s hard to pinpoint just one.  I love Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club, Goonies, Pretty In Pink, Mystic Pizza.  I own them all too.

Who is your favorite actor?
I love Morgan Freeman and to be fair my favorite actress is Sandra Bullock.

What is your favorite band or musician?
I love music.  It depends on my mood but I’ll pretty much listen to anything if it “speaks” to me.  I love to dance and I love to sing karaoke.

What is your favorite food?  I love me some pasta.

What is your favorite candy?
Twix and Twizzlers…not together because that’d be kinda gross I think.

What else should readers know about you?
I’m on a writing journey.  I write my blogs as honestly as I can.  I often find that the fear behind writing honestly will deter me from being true to myself.  I am learning to confront that fear head on and I can see the effect it has had on my writing already.
I am looking to make connections with others and I love and welcome feedback as well as comments.

The B Keeps Us Honest will feature a new Blogger of The Week each Saturday. If you would like to be featured please contact me

Fisher Price™ "Moments to Share"™ Facebook application

If there's one thing that all Moms can agree on, it's that time flies by way to fast! We want to capture and preserve as many memories as possible, from those small unexpected moments to treasured milestones. And with our camera phones and Flip cams in hand, we're catching it all! The only thing left to do is share with the countless friends and relatives who want nothing more than a front one seat to your little one's journey.

Luckily, a brand who knows a few things about growth and development has created an awesome way for us to keep up with the clock by creating a digital timeline, complete with photos, videos, captions and stories! Even better, your timeline will live in a place where you already connect with your friends and relatives- Facebook.

This extremely easy to use application (http://www.fpmoments.com/) that  allows you to create a personalized timeline by adding a date, location, caption and even anecdotes to your images. You can upload new photos and videos or even use existing Facebook albums. The result is a scrollable, digital timeline that you can add to as your child grows. Since there are so many people who touch your child's life, you can even allow select friends and family to add to your masterpiece.  And because privacy is always a concern among parents, you're able to control exactly who you're sharing your moments with.

My Moment
I created a Moment about Jude's First Easter Egg Hunt and was able to share with my family and friend via facebook. It was super simple and it walked you through each step and even gave you suggestions for ideas. This is a great way to share important milestones with your family and friends.

Disclosure: I was entered for a chance to win a gift card in exchange for this post. No monetary exchange took place.
